Florence, Italy
Anna-Maria and Andrea’s summer wedding in Florence, Italy started at the historic Church of Ognissanti. The celebration continued after the ceremony as guests made their way to the piazza outside the church. Friends and family congratulated the newlyweds with an old Italian tradition: throwing rice mixed with flower petals on them as they ran to their vintage, flower-laden car.
That car drove us to San Miniato al Monte so we could take advantage of the incredible view of Florence and the Chianti Mountains. After a few portraits, we all continued to Castello di Vincigliata for the reception. This wedding venue is a historic castle, perfect for their intimate reception. Their tablescape was fit for a king, there was a jaw-dropping opera performance by a friend of the bride, and they had a sfoglia cake made live (another Tuscan wedding tradition). Not a detail was missed by their wedding planner, Exclusive Italy Weddings, and we’ll all be celebrating through their photos for decades to come.
