Private Estate

On a sunlit afternoon in October, Rachel and Michael were married on Michael’s family’s private estate outside of Thornbury, Ontario. This was a multi-day celebration, so the party started the night before the wedding with a traditional Chinese tea ceremony. Multiple days mean multiple outfits and Rachel looked equally stunning in all three of her wedding dresses as did Michael in all of his suits. There were rich colors every step of the way, from the gold and burgundy decor at the intimate family dinner after the tea ceremony to the bridesmaids in their jewel-toned gowns at the wedding.

The day of the wedding, guests arrived for the ceremony, which took place inside in a modern barn on the property. The rest of the afternoon was spent wandering the grounds, taking photos outside a chapel on the property. The evening ended with a lively reception in a show-stopping tent: florals and twinkle lights dangled from the ceiling courtesy of the team at Rachel A. Clingen Wedding & Event Design, a cigar bar, and a prohibition era speakeasy. Rachel and Michael’s talented planner, Muse Event Co., created a weekend that was cohesive from start to finish, every detail more stunning and personal than the one that came before it.
