Escape to an Oasis at this Toronto Rooftop Bridal Shower
On a gorgeous summer day, guests of Bianca Crignano’s Toronto Rooftop Bridal Shower escaped from the city heat to this airy oasis. From 40 floors up, this small group of Bianca’s dearest friends and family enjoyed the incredible views of the Toronto cityscape and glistening water of Lake Ontario. Away from it all, the women were able to catch up, relax, and celebrate as they watched their beloved Bianca as she basked in the beauty of the day.
Alongside her planning and design team at Laura & Co. Events, Bianca planned a day of pure elegance. Choosing the terrace of her parent’s penthouse 40 floors up made for the ideal location for this Toronto Rooftop Bridal Shower. Celebrating amongst close friends and relatives in one’s own home brings an added level of intimacy to a gathering of this kind. With bright blue skies and the amazing city skyline set as the backdrop, the bridal shower was beautiful in its simplest form. But a woman of excellent vision and taste, Bianca was inspired by much bigger dreams for this special day.
Bianca and her team at Laura & Co. Events were inspired to create an intimate al fresco summer party. The vision was to stay away from anything that felt overly “bridal” while leaning into the truly extravagant design of the day. Without leaving the Toronto Rooftop Bridal Shower, one was whisked away to the terraces of the Amalfi coast. No need to bring your passport! Gorgeous tented canopies from Premier Event Tent Rentals and drapery from Eventure Designs brought even more grandeur to the day, while the greenery and florals from the floral & design team at Stemz added a lush quality to this party in the sky.
Guests lunch-ed under a pergola of woven greens on a beautiful, long wooden table. A textured and layered tablescape made for a romantic and fresh focal point. The centre of the table was dotted with potted herbs, fresh cut foliage, trailing vines, and bright hints of citrus. Pops of green, blue, and orange accents came together beautifully for this intimate Toronto Rooftop Bridal Shower.
Guests enjoyed a masterful menu from Toben Food By Design, a longtime friend of the Crignano Family. As they gathered to enjoy this flawless meal, the acoustic musical stylings provided by Sole Power lightly played in the background. In true Italian fashion, the menu included an aperitivo, primi, secondi, insalata, and dolce -- dessert -- lots and lots of dolce! Summer stone fruit & farro salad, handmade cavatelli a limone, and cotolette di pollo paired perfectly with beautifully fresh summer vegetables like truffled summer corn purée, marinated cherry tomatoes, and Ontario sugar snap peas. As Bianca has a passion for all things dessert, guests were spoiled with an indulgent spread of individual birthday cakes with champagne ganache and towers of truffles, meringues, peach cookies, pate de fruit and many more artisanal sweets by Nadia & Co.
It was a joy to watch Bianca, dressed in a stunning pale blue dress by ROKSANDA, as she laughed and caught up with her nearest and dearest. Our team of Toronto photographers were able to capture incredible moments from this day. Bathed in natural light, the beauty of the design and the sentiment of the day were effortlessly captured in timeless portraits. We’re a small team, allowing us to be nimble and get the most out of intimate, candid moments. Driven by design and given a client who shares our fashion forward approach, we were able to round out the collection with some stunning editorial shots.
We were so humbled by the love, support, and expression of celebration this group of women shared for one another. It was a pleasure to watch our clients celebrate such a meaningful milestone together in such a beautiful way.
