The love story behind this Four Seasons Toronto Wedding has been worthy of celebration since the moment Kristyn and Domenic met. What began as a friendship soon turned into a lasting romance. Tale as old as time, but one we never tire of hearing. Kristyn and Dom’s relationship has always been one filled with romance. From their date nights making homemade pasta together, to their incredible Italian engagement story, this love is one for the ages.
The couple got engaged during a trip to picturesque Florence, for a family friend’s wedding (shot by 5ive15ifteen, may we add!). Following a wine tasting at one of their favourite wineries - Antinori nel Chianti Classico - Domenic popped the question! The architecture and beautiful landscape of the vineyard made for a breathtaking backdrop to this unforgettable moment, and would later inspire some special touches on their big day.
Kristyn and Domenic chose the Four Seasons to make the Wedding of their dreams a reality. It was there, in a suite in the Four Seasons, that the bride began her day. With Dom at his family home, the couple prepared separately, all the while connected in their shared excitement. Surrounded by her four stunning bridesmaids and gorgeous mother, Kristyn slipped into her exquisite Monique Lhuillier wedding dress from White Toronto. Have you ever seen a more gorgeous gown?!
The vision for this Four Seasons Toronto wedding was clear from day one and mirrored the couple’s sensibility: timeless and fun. Kristyn is a lover of clean, minimalistic design (Exhibit A: her flawless wedding dress!) and was keen to incorporate this design thinking into their wedding. “Our wedding day vision can be summed up into two words,” Kristyn said, “Modern elegance.” This beautiful simplicity guided each design decision that was made, from the sophisticated décor to the clean colour palette to the elegant Nous Design wedding bouquets. Each element not only complimented the reception venue, but perfectly reflected the couple’s style.
This elegant wedding boasts an endless array of thoughtful details, all working in harmony. Special touches can be found everywhere you look! The couple’s engagement was such a special moment, so Kristyn and Dom decided to incorporate the vineyard’s unique architecture into their wedding day stationary. Palettera took this classic design, and flawlessly carried it through many elements, from the wedding invitations, to the seating chart, to the custom dance floor where the couple and their wedding guests busted moves to “September” by Earth, Wind, & Fire.
Kristyn and Dom worked very closely with 5ive15ifteen’s team of Toronto wedding photographers to achieve a collection of timeless wedding photos. We wanted to shoot at a location that was outdoors to take full advantage of the beautiful, late September natural light. Evergreen Brick Works fit the bill perfectly, offering gorgeous green spaces. Located close to the church and the venue made it the ideal location to capture some timeless memories during the couple’s first moments as husband and wife.
Towards the end of the evening, the couple snuck away to take a quick stroll through Yorkville at twilight. While Kristyn and Dom reflected on the wonder of the day, our photographer and the videographer were able to capture stunning footage and candid photos of the two lovebirds. To honour every special memory, the couple teamed up with our in-house designer to create a keepsake album. No detail was spared, using a custom modern ‘K & D’ logo, as well as a sophisticated fashion illustration to add a unique touch to this special memento:
We wanted Kristyn and Dom to be able to relax on their big day, so they could truly enjoy the magic. We worked to ensure we captured every authentic moment throughout the couple’s journey, from the engagement shoot and bridal shower right through to the wedding day itself. “Choosing 5ive15ifteen was the best and easiest decision we made.” said the bride. We were so honoured to be a part of Kristyn and Dom’s Toronto wedding and are thrilled to have captured these memories, so the happy couple can relive the happiest day of their lives for years to come.
